Conversion tracking for B2B campaigns

B2B clicks cost more, so measure leads, demo requests and sign-ups, not just clicks. You track them with the same trackers you use for your other PPCmate campaigns.

Option 1: Pixel on your thank-you page

  1. Open Trackers and create a tracker (or pick one in the campaign's Tracker step).
  2. On the Pixel tab, copy the tracker script and put it on the page people see after they convert (for example "Thanks for booking a demo").
  3. Also add this line to your landing pages, so the pixel knows which click converted: <script async src="https://…/go/ppc.js"></script> (copy the exact line from the Pixel tab).

Option 2: Postback from your CRM or tracker

Best when the conversion happens later, for example when sales qualifies the lead.

  1. Add clickid={CLICK_ID} to the landing URL of your ad. PPCmate fills it with each click's own ID.
  2. Store that value with the lead (for example in a hidden form field, or in your CRM).
  3. When the lead converts, call the tracker's postback URL with the click ID and the value. Your tracker can send the click ID as trackingId, clickid, gclid, msclkid or fbclid.

Where conversions show

In Reports, on your campaign list and on the dashboard.

Sent back to the networks

  • Google: conversions are counted in PPCmate and sent back to Google, so its bidding can learn from them.
  • Microsoft: counting conversions and sending them back to Microsoft is being switched on.
  • Facebook & Instagram: counting conversions is being switched on. Sending them back to Meta is not available yet.

Until counting is on for your campaign, compare it against your own analytics and CRM.

Tips for B2B

  • Count the step you care about (a booked demo), not just a page view.
  • Also add UTM tags so your own analytics and CRM show the same campaigns (UTM guide).
  • Allow for the delay: B2B leads often convert days or weeks after the click.

Troubleshooting

  • No conversions: check that {CLICK_ID} is in the landing URL and that the ppc.js line is on the landing page. Test with your own click and conversion.
  • Conversions without a campaign: the click ID didn't arrive with the postback. Check the parameter name.
