What optimizations are available for my campaigns?

PPCmate offers several layers of optimization, from fully manual to fully automatic, and you can combine them. The layers below apply to Pop-under, Push, Display, Native and Video campaigns. Campaigns on Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Instagram and ChatGPT are optimized by those platforms' own bidding.

Bidding

  • Smart, Bid or Fixed: Smart prices each impression or click for you and never goes above your budget. Bid treats your price as a maximum. Fixed bids exactly your price. (Free)
  • Bidding Goal: set a Target CPC or Target CPA in the Finance section of the campaign. Each bid is then priced by what the placement is likely to deliver toward your target, and never above your campaign price. Target CPA needs a Tracker. See Bidding Goals: CPA and CPC explained. (Free)
  • Recommended bid: if your bid is below what this traffic usually costs, a red range appears under the bid field. (Free)

Automation

  • Automated Rules: rules you write yourself. For example, pause a placement that spends without converting, or cut bids on sources that underperform. Every action is logged. See Automating campaign management with Automated Rules. (Free)
  • AI Optimization: every hour, the platform blocks sources that spend without converting, removes losing geos and steers bids toward your AI Goal. It needs conversion tracking. See AI Optimization. (+10% of spend while on)
  • Auto A/B Test: with 2 or more creatives, traffic moves to your best performers and the rest are paused. (Free)

Traffic quality

  • Minimum Viewable: skip placements where ads are rarely seen. See Minimum Viewable %: buy only placements where ads are seen. (Free)
  • Brand safe traffic only and content Categories and Types, under Targeting → Content Features. (Free)
  • Traffic Quality Mode: choose Verified, Balanced or Maximum Volume. Fraud filtering itself always runs. See How does PPCmate protect my campaigns from fraud and bot traffic? (Free)
  • Supply Diversification: limits how much of your spend any one supply partner can take. New campaigns start at 60%. (Free)
  • Blacklists: block specific placements outright from Blacklists in the left menu. To find placements worth blocking, open the campaign's Quality Receipt: it lists your top placements by spend with a content status for each. (Free)

Spend control

  • Max spend per hour, daily and total budgets, and Frequency Capping. (Free)
  • Landing-page guard: sends clicks to a backup URL, or pauses the campaign, while your landing page is down. (Free)

Targeting and audiences

Where to start

Launch with a Bidding Goal, a sensible Traffic Quality Mode and one or two safety Rules. Once conversions are flowing, add AI Optimization, and tighten Minimum Viewable or content categories if your reports show weak placements.
