You can run image ads in the Facebook feed and the Instagram feed straight from PPCmate X. You don't need a Meta ad account: PPCmate builds the campaign on Meta for you, and the ads appear as your own Facebook Page (and Instagram account). You pay per click from your PPCmate balance.
Facebook and Instagram are two separate formats
Facebook Ads run only in the Facebook feed, and Instagram Ads run only in the Instagram feed. Each is its own campaign with its own creative: a Facebook Ad for Facebook, an Instagram Ad for Instagram. To be on both, create one campaign of each.
Before you start: connect your Facebook Page
Your ads run as your own Facebook Page, so connect it once:
- In PPCmate, open Channels and find the Facebook Page card. It shows PPCmate's Business ID with a Copy button.
- In Meta Business Suite, go to Settings → Partners, click Add partner and paste PPCmate's Business ID.
- Choose your Page and turn on Create ads. To run Instagram Ads under your Instagram account, share that account the same way.
- Back in PPCmate, paste your Page link (or Page ID) and press Check.
Until a Page is connected, Facebook and Instagram campaigns wait and won't launch. If your Page has no Instagram account linked, Instagram Ads show your Page instead. Disconnecting the Page pauses your Facebook and Instagram campaigns.
At a glance
- Pricing: CPC, with a fixed max CPC of at least $0.10.
- Budget: a daily budget is required. It must be at least $10 a day and cover at least 5 clicks at your CPC (for example, a $3 CPC needs a daily budget of $15 or more).
- At least one country and an end date. Campaigns deliver as soon as possible.
The creative
- Square image 1:1 (1200×1200). Required, because both feeds use it.
- Headline, up to 40 characters. It appears under the image on Facebook. Instagram doesn't show a headline.
- Primary text, up to 90 characters. It appears above the image on Facebook and as the caption on Instagram.
- Landscape image (1200×628): optional.
- Instagram Ad only: an optional Portrait image 4:5 (1080×1350). Instagram shows it bigger than the square.
- No logo or business name. Your Page's name and picture stand in for them.
The creative form shows a live preview of the post. ✨ Suggest with AI writes the texts and ✨ Generate images with AI can make the images (the price is shown on the button).
Targeting available
- Location: countries (required), regions, cities, Zip/Postal Codes and Geo Radius map circles (1 to 80 km). Each postal code must be in one of the countries you selected.
- Locations are set per country. In each country the most specific level you picked is used: postal codes, else cities, else regions, else the whole country. A country with nothing else picked runs nationwide. If you draw map circles, only the circles are targeted.
- Interests: type to search Meta's own interests. Your ad shows to people interested in any of them. Leave it empty to reach everyone.
- Demographics: age groups and gender. Pick neighbouring age groups, because Meta targets one continuous age range.
- Languages and Devices (computers or mobile phones).
Ads PPCmate won't send to Meta
- Meta's special categories: credit and loans, employment, housing, politics, and dating.
- Restricted categories: cryptocurrency, gambling, risky financial products, prescription drugs and pharmacies, adult content and weapons.
- Links that redirect to a different website. Link straight to your landing page.
Conversion tracking
Conversion tracking isn't available yet on Facebook and Instagram. Conversions from these clicks aren't counted in PPCmate for now. You can keep {CLICK_ID} in your landing URL so tracking works as soon as it's switched on. Until then, use your own analytics (for example, UTM tags).
Status and troubleshooting
Campaign Health Check has an On Facebook / On Instagram item. It shows "Live", "Not sent yet" with the reasons (a missing Page gets a Fix button that takes you to the Facebook Page card), or "Meta refused the ad" with Meta's reasons. Change the image, texts or landing page, and the new ad is sent within 5 minutes and reviewed again. If a live campaign gets no traffic, raise your CPC, or add more locations or a wider age range.
